I know this will not get read. But the CRTC has not allowed netflix to operate in Canada due to the fact that they don't offer the correct amount of Canadian content. And only once they have the correct amount, then they can operate in Canada.
All VOD is regulated by the CRTC, ensuring that there is Canadian content on the service.
We Canadians did not get Last.FM in the last update(360), guess why?? No guaranteed Canadian content.

I live in Canada, and I did not think the instant 1080p would work here for some reason, but the previewd started within seconds of choosing it. I will have to try a full movie now. Before Zune, it would take me about 1/2 hour to be able to watch a movie on the old marketplace.

I have to agree with your statement. I have always wondered and stated that the cost of PSN, PSN Store, Life With Playstation, and HOME must be enourmous. Those things aren't cheap for SONY to create and maintain. Plus the ongoing improvements to PSN. Sure SONY is making money off of micro transactions, but is it enough??
